The Davis Dairy Plant and the Alfred Dairy Science Hall were the result of a $9.3–million construction and remodeling project dedicated Oct. 21, 2011.

Built in 1955, the East Headhouse serves the research and teaching functions and operations of the Plant Science Building and east greenhouses.

Completed in 1956, Foundation Seed is the source for pure genetics of varieties developed by the Agricultural Experiment Station crop-breeding teams. The primary purpose of Foundation Seed is to increase new varieties as quickly as possible, working closely with the plant breeders at º£½ÇÖ±²¥app and neighboring foundation seed organizations.

The Local Foods Education Center is a novel approach to addressing food security in South Dakota. The 1.2-acre outdoor classroom is located on Medary Avenue on the northern edge of the º£½ÇÖ±²¥app campus.

The Northeast Research Farm was established in 1956. It is located approximately 15 miles north of Watertown at the junction of Highway 20 and old Highway 81, or 2 miles west of the Interstate 29 South Shore exit.

The Physiology Laboratory currently houses a plant science laboratory on the upper level and a fermentation laboratory on the lower level.

The Plant Science Building houses an important portion of the plant research conducted on campus.

Opened August 2017, the Plant Science Research Support Center is a 17,000-square-foot facility that allows for an increase in research and hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Located just east of the Hilton M. Briggs Library, this brick structure was built in 1959 at a cost of $692,000.
