Non-Degree Seeking Applicants

Applicants who do not wish to work toward a degree at º£½ÇÖ±²¥app may take courses as non-degree seeking students.
Please note that non-degree seeking students are not eligible to receive financial aid. Non-degree seeking students must be a high school graduate or meet non-high school graduate requirements.
Undergraduate
Application Process
Applicants should submit the following:
- Admission application*
- Post-secondary transcripts, ACT or SAT scores may be required depending on the desired course(s)
*When completing the online application, please indicate that you do not plan to pursue a degree at º£½ÇÖ±²¥app by selecting "special†from the list of majors.

Graduate
Application Process
Up to 12 credits of graduate credit taken as a non-degree seeking student can be applied to a graduate credential, degree or certificate.
- Submit the Online Application using the general application.
- When creating an account, please ensure you are using a personal email address. Certain government email addresses (ex: sd.us, k12.sd.us) have strong filters that block emails regarding admissions decisions.
- Once an account is created, a confirmation email will be sent to the email provided. Follow the link in the email to continue the application.
Complete the requested information on each of the required tabs. Pay specific attention to the following fields on the Enrollment Information Tab:
- For Level of Study, select "Graduate" if you are intending to enroll in a graduate-level (500 or above) course(s).
- From the Student Type dropdown, select, "Non-Degree Seeking – I am not seeking a graduate degree program or credential at º£½ÇÖ±²¥app."
- From the Intended Term dropdown, select the term in which you will be taking the intended course(s). Course information can be found on the .
Upon submission of the non-degree seeking application, the Graduate School will process your application. A confirmation email will be sent when all steps have been completed and you are able to enroll. If you need assistance enrolling, please contact the Graduate School.
