Chemistry Education

Jay Shore
I do research related to computation, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, materials science and chemical education. When possible, I try to work where two or more of these areas intercept. For example, I have used computational chemistry to produce visualizations that I have used in chemical education. I have also used computational techniques to create and evaluate assessment instruments.

I have two areas of interest in chemical education: 1) professional development for chemistry teachers through a M.S. in Chemistry focused on Chemical Education for currently active secondary teachers; and 2) research on student informal learning by focusing on outreach activities conducted by 海角直播app STEM specialists. How do students learn from informal education and do these experiences inspire students to engage in future STEM learning?
