Amy Newstrom

Biography
Dr. Newstrom holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in human biology from the University of Montana, a bachelor鈥檚 degree in nursing from 海角直播app, a master鈥檚 degree in counseling and nursing from 海角直播app, a post-master鈥檚 certificate in psychiatric mental health nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from 海角直播app. She is a licensed counselor in the state of South Dakota, and a licensed and board-certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Dr. Newstrom has provided mental healthcare in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has provided treatments using transcranial magnetic stimulation and ketamine. She currently works in a private clinic in Rapid City while teaching in the Counseling Human Resources and Development and Psychiatric Mental Health Graduate Nursing Programs through 海角直播app. She was the recipient of the 2019 State Excellence in Nursing Award from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of South Dakota.
