The architecture program at 海角直播app is all about the iterative and hands-on processes of drawing and making. Having spaces available for students to pursue these processes is critical as they can have room to explore their creativity. Architecture has made it a priority for each student in the program to have their own desk in studio for just that reason. Like student-athletes or musicians, success in architecture school demands more time "in practice." Expectations are high and a commitment to the design studio and all architecture facilities are a necessity.

Transfer Students

Undergraduate

At 海角直播app, initial evaluation of undergraduate transfer credits is managed through the admissions office. Likewise, a student in good standing within the university can change majors and transfer into the architecture program.

  • Every student who transfers into the B.F.A. in architecture degree program is evaluated using the transfer pre-evaluation form.
  • Individual courses are evaluated by the teaching discipline on a course-by-course basis unless there is a transfer or articulation agreement already established between institutions.
  • Students may challenge for transfer credit by portfolio or petition for equivalency for architecture coursework. In this process, students submit a record that should include course syllabi, work samples, lecture documentation and note-taking and completed assignments.
  • For professional level undergraduate course transfers, both the course objectives and requisite National Architectural Accrediting Board student performance requirements have to be evident.

Transfer Student Information

Graduate

No advanced standing in graduate-level professional ARCH courses is permitted. All 45 credit hours of required ARCH-prefix graduate courses must be completed at 海角直播app. The required graduate elective (three credits), upon approval by the teaching discipline and the graduate school, may be transferred from another institution.

  • Candidates admitted to the Master of Architecture degree program are reviewed through a transfer evaluation form to verify that professional program prerequisites have been met.
  • Evaluation is made by the graduate program coordinator and academic advisor. Equivalency in nonarchitecture courses are evaluated by the department administering the course.
  • Students may challenge for transfer credit by portfolio or petition for equivalency for architecture coursework.
  • For professional-level courses, both the academic objectives and requisite National Architectural Accrediting Board student performance requirements have to be evident in the record supplied by the student for approval of equivalency.

Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board is an elected body of students who offer feedback on matters affecting architecture students' educational experiences in both the preprofessional and professional degree programs. The Student Advisory Board is a program organization, not a student organization. It does not organize student activities or events. It is a conduit between the faculty and the student body for information, ideas and policy.
